About This Game An epic adventure in a land of monsters, traps and magic. Journey across the deadly Shamutanti Hills and through the Cityport of Kharé, home to thieves, corrupt nobles and deadly mutants, as you attempt to recover the Crown of Kings. Armed with your sword, and over fifty spells with weird and wonderful effects, embark on a journey of a thousand choices where every one is remembered and will change your story. This is Parts 1 and 2 of a four-part series. As played by the Yogscast, Sorcery! is a narrative adventure like no other, that creates your own unique fantasy adventure as you play. * Explore a 3d hand-drawn map, and venture inside the buildings of the city of Kharé * Unique bluff-and-strike based combat system which procedurally narrates your battles * Over fifty weird and wonderful spells, whose effects alter the narrative in wild and unpredictable ways * Over half a million words of story content that adapts around your choices - created using the same inklewriter technology as the multi-award-winning 80 DAYS * Hundreds of characters, hundreds of stories to uncover * Over forty unique monsters to fight, all with their own strategies and combat styles * Play Swindlestones, a game of cunning and deceit, against the citizens of Kharé, for profit - and for information * Freedom to explore - rewind whatever choices you want * Based on the million-selling series by Steve Jackson * All of your choices are remembered, shaping your adventure now - and in the future Sorcery! Parts 1 and 2 are the first half of an epic quadrilogy. Sorcery! 3 takes the adventure to the wilds of the Baklands and creates a fully open-world experience, and will be out shortly on Steam. Sorcery! 4 is due later this year, to finish the adventure. Each part can be played on its own, or you can load your character from one part to the next, carrying over equipment, stats, and narrative choices. 7aa9394dea Title: Sorcery! Nice art, writing is good, fun.. Great simple yet hard to master game. Nice feel of a paper and pen dungeon and dragon game.. Frustratingly dull.. One of my absolute favorite games, if you were ever a fan of choose your own adventure novels, or DnD, you\u2019ll adore this one (a bit easier than flipping pages back and forth as well).. i wish there was more Adventure to be done. Amazing chose your own story adventure. Don't expect high end graphics but do expect a great story. Everything you do is a major decision to how the game will progress. Who you talk to, the sequence in which you talk to people, which path you take, how you talk to people, it all matters. The fighting mechanics is interesting, you have to gauge what your opponent will do and figure out how to counter. You're given hints on what to do from the text, which brings me to the text.....theres a lot. Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining; it's really well written, I just didn't expect to read so much. The game has no voice actors instead it's all text, but more graphically active than other text based games like zork. It's crucial to read and understand. This game is actually great for helping people develop critical reading skills. My only problem is that the game is too short, I get that it's based off a book series by Steve Jackson so it probably has limited source material. I actually want to read the books. Anyways, a great game I recommend.. Stole a mans green wig and then zapped him with depression. 10/10. Addictive and time consuming in the most enjoyble way!Prepare to waste hours play this game as you make one chioce then backtrack to make a different one before choosing which one you are going to be content with, this game may look simple and it is, but that's what makes it so different from the modern mainstream games. This is unique and the developers and artists and producers really cared about what they were making and it shows, so if you have the guts take your first steps into this world and be prepared for a journey that will never be the same as any one else's. The choice is yours.... I tried liking it but made a big mistake and bought this as nostalgia got the better of me, i used to love fighting fantasy so much. But this. It sucks. Especially the end of part 2 telling me i made the wrong choice band the next part having the same problem you need to make the right choice. The way forward becomes impossible. It sucks hard. There is no backtracking which makes sense, just the rewind function, which if you wanted to cheat in the original books you'd just remember page numbers. It sucks did I say that, this is a grind it feels like shooting pigeons in GTA4. Since i never remembered the sorcery series from when i was young i just checked, it's the based on The Shamutanti Hills for part one, and that was not a good FF book. I remember it staying pristine at my local library. Forest of Doom, City of Thieves, Death Trap Dungeon, Caverns of the Snow Witch those were the shizz, great adventures. Freeway Fighter, I'll even mention that, but mad max beyond thunderdome helped sell that. I got the books out of a box and had a better time.
